What does a usual day at Etts PRO look like?

Start at 8.30am and finish at 3.30pm (breaks for morning tea and lunch).

The days are broken up into classes in styles ranging from Jazz, Latin, Tap, Heels, Ballet, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Acro, Aerials arts, Conditioning and more!

How often are the students training their technique?

Every day there is an element of core training whether that be ballet, technique, conditioning or fitness (functional, plyometric, cardio, strength)

How are students connected to the professional dance industry during their time at Etts PRO?

We are very proud to have a world-class faculty including some of the most recognised and renowned professionals in Australia. Beyond this, we regularly host industry guests to work with our students, giving them exposure to new styles, career options and industry knowledge.

IN TERMS OF INDUSTRY READINESS...

Both first and second-year students attend weekly professional development classes with our Head of Education and Training, Aimee Whittaker. In these sessions, students apply their knowledge and training to exercises that target various roles in the industry.

We also encourage our resident faculty and guest teachers to integrate industry preparedness into their teachings, covering not only physical training but also emphasising mindset, artistry, understanding, smart risk-taking, and professional etiquette. These discussions become more in-depth in the second year.

Does it matter if students haven't done certain styles before?

Entry to the course is via audition, so a certain standard is required for entry - however highly specialised styles such as ballet and tap are split accordingly. We also understand that not every student has had extensive access or training in styles such as Latin and Heels.

How do we support incoming students?

From the time students have enrolled in the course, they gain access to our Pre-PRO program - including access to a cohort Facebook group. Prior to the end of this year, they will also have the option to book in for an initial 1-1 meeting with our Head of Education and Training or Head of Fulltime.

How do students pay?

Payments are made using interest free instalments via direct debit either fortnightly or monthly.

What additional costs are there on top of the course fee?

Merchant/ agent fees connected to the direct debit plus a performance fee, merchandise fee and graduation fee as mentioned in the Prospectus.
